Before heading off to Budapest, two of my friends told me about this magical place. Where I live in Canada, there are no markets like this – and if there are, well, then I have no idea where they are.
Whenever I’m able to go to a market, a bazaar, or a night market, I’m always in awe and running around and eating whatever food I can afford/find. So obviously, this is what I did when I got to the Central Market Hall in Budapest.
I personally thought that this was the best place to buy souvenirs for my friends and family – there was an assortment of trinkets, accessories, and other random things.
Not to mention, there was a whole bunch of pastries and delicious goodness to stuff my face with.
This market is a definite must go for anyone visiting Budapest. It’s open Monday 6:00am – 5:oopm, Tuesday-Friday 6:00am – 6:00pm, and Saturday from 6:00am to 3:00pm. And is located at Vamhaz korut 1-3., Budapest 1093, Hungary (this is what the internet tells me).
