For anyone looking to go to Budapest, I would highly recommend staying at BI&BI Panzio. Personally, I enjoyed my stay very much and I hope you will too!
Walking on the east bank of the Danube River, you’ll come across a beautiful, yet heartbreaking, memorial in Budapest.
This memorial is to honour the Jews who were killed during World War II. They were ordered to take off their shoes and were shot at the edge of the water.
The shoes represent the ones that were left behind on the bank.
Before heading off to Budapest, two of my friends told me about this magical place. Where I live in Canada, there are no markets like this – and if there are, well, then I have no idea where they are.
Whenever I’m able to go to a market, a bazaar, or a night market, I’m always in awe and running around and eating whatever food I can afford/find. So obviously, this is what I did when I got to the Central Market Hall in Budapest.
Margaret Island is a small island (*gasp* who would’ve thought) that lies between Buda and Pest. You can access it by a bridge which I’ve circled on the map down below.
