A little surprise

Every year, my father uses the compost to help fertilize the soil. That compost contains literally all types of fruits, vegetables, and coffee bean residue (that’s not the word for it… but heeeyy you know what I mean, right?)

Randomly this summer, a melon started to pop up in the vegetable garden! One of the seeds that had been in the compost decided it wanted to show us what it was made out of and blossom into a teensy tiny melon. Recently, we picked that melon and IT WAS TOO CUTE

It was still a bit bitter, but not too bad.

Hopefully next summer we get more surprises in our garden.

But seriously, how cool is nature?
